Not long after being linked to direct Robert Downey Jr. in the latest Wizard of Oz riff,Sam Raimi has gone all Ridley Scott and attached himself to oversee the graphic novel adaptation Earp:Saints for Sinners for DreamWorks. Per today’s report,the film is “set in a future in which [the legendary gunslinger Wyatt Earp] takes on outlaws in a ravaged society where the only boomtown left is Las Vegas.†Which,by the time Raimi is done with Oz,will no doubt be present-day.
